Arthur Bowman Porter studied at the Royal College of Art London. He worked for most of his life from his studio in Wood Green Essex.
His paintings have been exhibited at the Royal Academy of Art, Royal Institute for Painters in Oils, Birmingham City Art gallery, Walker Gallery Liverpool, Glasgow Art Gallery and the Royal Institute London.
