Victor Hume Moody studied at the Royal College of Art London under Henry Cogle.
Moody had a strong interest in the techniques of painting used in the 17th century - monochrome underpainting, giving a full range of tone, with a second stage of built up lights in impasto and darks of transparent low toned colour.
The paintings of Victor Hume Moody have been exhibited widely, he was an elected member of the Royal Society of British Artists, and for many years he was the Head of the Malvern School of Art.
